It had not been a good day at work for one Gwen Cooper.

It got marginally better when she entered Milliways.

So now Gwen's at the bar, with a pint, poking at the foam.

Do bother.

There's someone else who's had a bad day, except entering Milliways doesn't really make his any better.

So when Ianto spots a co-worker at the bar, he heads that direction. If you're going to be kidnapped by a magical pub, might as well enjoy it with someone you know.

Only this isn't the Gwen he knows. She's not met them yet. Not even a bit.

This is just regular old PC Cooper. She glances at him as he walks up, but doesn't give him a second glance.

The Gwen he knows wouldn't do that.

The lack of recognition throws him for a second, but he takes a seat beside her anyway. Surely she's not still upset about the incident with Carys?

"Cup of coffee please," he says to the Bar.

And then, after his drink arrives and he's taken a sip: "Fancy seeing you here."

"Excuse me?" She says politely, eyes wide and a small smile in place. "You must have confused with someone else...or...in this place, I suppose you could be from...my future."

She laughs nervously. "But I've not met you."

Ilyana has only a cup of tea, which is half gone. No alcohol tonight.
She's relaxing/people watching, and Gwen's foam poker catches her eye.

"...not apple juice, is it?" suddenly remembering the bulletin board, she looks a little concerned.

"No. Guiness." Gwen says, looking up, her accent thicker now that she's been drinking. "Why? Is the juice bad?"

"Not usually, but tonight..." Ilyana just shakes her head, pointing to the sign on the board. "Milliways strikes again."

[pc_cooper]

"Oh!" Gwen blinks up at the board. "Didn't even notice that. Huh. Well, no juice for me. Thank you. 'M Gwen Cooper. Cardiff, Wales...2007."
