Sometime before that OOM posted prior to this post, there is a Sarah Jane lounging around outside on a blanket. She's sitting crosslegged, head bent downward as she works on notes for an upcoming article she's working on

There's a small child playing in the water, some distance in front of her. He's crouched, curled down, staring intensely at something just at the edge of the water. Mostly nothing noticeable, you can't tell he's all that wrong from behind.
Mostly inconspicuous, right? Until he leaps and then the frog leaps too, and it gets away into the water with a plop and small splash and Santi lands haphazard in the shadows, with a considerably larger splash and some sputtering.
It's the splash and the sputtering that really gets Sarah Jane's attention. She quickly gets up from her blanket, careful not to spill her juice, and runs over to the edge of the lake.
"Oh, are you alright?"
She rather hopes so. Swimming lessons or not, Sarah still isn't entirely confident about testing out her newly learnt capabilities.
He peeks at her over his shoulder, drawing himself out of the water to sit on the bank, and pauses. Not sure whether to apologize or dart away or simply vanish.
He knows he's not the sort of person you want to meet while picnicking, he does.
The feet are attached to long black-clad legs (Sam's one of those people who despite being quite short, manages to have outlandishly long legs for his height). The legs are owned by a scruffy-looking person with a brilliantly mischievious grin, stretching out on the grass nearby.
A pair of feet in Sarah's lap that she can tell instantly do not belong to James. She eyes them warily for a moment, before looking up at the face they belong to and smiling.
It takes her a second to remember to be stern.
"I believe, Sam, that those are your feet covering my journal right now."
Sarah sticks her tongue out at him and shakes her head.
"No it isn't if I'm ever going to attempt to sell this article," she retorts, playfully pushing at the legs. He may see the glimmer of a ring on her hand as she does so. "And whether James likes it or not, I am going to help pay for my share of the wedding."
Charlie drops himself into the grass, his guitar in his arms, and says, "I met your boyfriend. Who is James Bond," he adds in a tone that says, omg that is so cool.
"It's fiancee now," Sarah replies, beaming as she holds up a hand with a diamond ring on it. "I'd like to think that the purchase of this ring means he's been upgraded in status."
