Amy comes in this evening, bent nearly double, inching forward.

It's a very odd way to walk, really.

Unless, of course, you're helping your daughter learn to walk.

Then it make perfect sense.

When Susan stops and looks up (and up, an up), it's because there's a familiar looking figure standing in front of her, eyes wide with something that's making them bright and joyful, and a smile on his face.

"You're almost there, Susan," Caspian says, encouragingly, bending down a little. "Don't give up!"

"Among other things," Caspian says, laughing at her. "But they aren't so bad, you know, lemon cakes. In moderation," he adds, quickly.

"I just don't like them," says Amy, airily. And then laughs.

Susan laughs, too, because everyone else is.

"Things are well in the House?"

"Oh, aye."

He makes his way to the bar and asks for some tea, pushing a cup to Amy with the hand that is not currently supporting his niece.

"Everyone is well. Has Perry been scandalizing the court much, in Ambergeldar?"

"If by 'scandalize' you mean 'flirting with his own wife in public,' then, yes," says Amy, taking the tea.

"Thank you, Caspian."

"Casp'an."

"Susan," he says, and she beams, tugging at one of his curls while he reaches to tug gently at one of hers.

"Firt!" she cries, happily, and he grins. "Well, maybe," he admits, "but how could I resist, with such a beautiful lady here?"

The three of them sit to take their tea, and Caspian watches his sister with a fond expression. It always seems like so long, these days, between visits...but then, they all have their responsibilities. "I'm glad you came tonight," he says, and reaches for Amy's hand. "I miss seeing you, Amy."

Her fingers curl around his.

"I miss seeing you, too. You should come visit, when you can. Perry would love to see you, and Susan and I would be delighted. Come, when you can. Any time, for as long as you like."

"I'd like that." He smiles. It has been a long while since his last visit. "After the winter here, I feel all closed-in, and I must have gone riding down every one of those paths in the woods these last weeks. It'd be nice to get away for a little while."

"You're always welcome. And there are miles and miles and miles of paths through the Forest, you know.

"Though it is winter there, I should tell you."

"Winter," he says, "but winter in Ambergeldar, which is somewhat different."

There's more space, for one thing.

"How is Darjeeling liking her new stables?"
