The Sharpie was gone, but Katara's leathers are missing, and in their place is an elaborate black outfit, with a fancy mask and wig, along with a very fine hat.

Oh, and a cape.

Jet has no idea who that is. So he doesn't bother peering at the masked person anymore deeply then he peers at anybody else.

He is drearily normal. Sorry! Also, eating something, because he's hungry.

"Swift of you there, Kats."

She is swatting him more! Lots more! With the mask!

But not the hat. That stays on her head 'cause she likes it.

"You're terrible! We're in the middle of the bar!"

"Have you looked at some of the women in bar?" God knows HE has. A lot! "I mean, what they're wearing? You're down right prudish in your costume as compared to..."

Well, he can start pointing them out, can't he?

"I think it's lucky," Katara replies, glancing over at some of the other women. And she'd rather he DIDN'T point them out, actually, thanks. "Some of them are pretty, but it would be annoying to have to walk around in that stuff all day. At least this is comfortable. Besides," she pushes the cape aside and shows off the soft fabric of the suit inside, "I can always take this part off. And the wig, too."

That part was hardest - the lump of her hair is still poking out a little in the back.

He doesn't mind-- he gives her a tug and says, "Have lunch with me, huh?" And forget about the other, scantily clad goodluck women! Or whatever they are.

Well, she wasn't heavily concerned with them. There is the possibility of some teasing, though, if she recognizes one or more of them.

Smiling at the offer, Katara knocks Jet's shoulder back and follows him over to his seat, taking one beside him. "What have you been doing? I haven't seen you."

"Just keepin' busy. Trying to explore the wood, but is' really big. Practicin'." He's still a little over-thoughtful, because of that looming death thing, but...

Well, Jet's allowed to be a little moody, isn't he?

Nope. Never. Why do you ask?

Katara smiles, but it's a little muted - mostly because he's being overthoughtful. "Did you find anything in the woods?" she asks because-- that sems like a safe topic.

[atanycost]

"The lake. More demon bunnies. Not a whole lot other then snow and trees, realy." He shrugs, and says, "Nothing exciting, sadly."

But, for some reason, Katara is grinning a little. "Isn't that weird to say? 'Nothing weird, just some demon bunnies.'"

She thinks so! Even if it's totally nothing to her now either.

[atanycost]

He laughs softly, and nudges her. "Yeah, true. But it's better then trying to figure out what the 'just deer' was."

Cause that was just weird.

[allican_do]

Nudging back, she blinks a little at him. "'Just deer'?"

This one is, strangely, new to her!

"Just deer. Uhm."

He taps bar. "Can we get a book on deer?"

And look! A book on.. Just Deer.

"They're out in the woods, see?"

"Oh, those!" Oh, poor Jet, your girl's laughing at you now, leaning over to put her head on his shoulder. "Deer. You know, the Earth Kingdom King has a bear? Just bear!"

"....bear?" He has to doubletake. "What the hell?"

Ba Sing Se is weird. So very weird.
