"Dai, Carmela!" He says cheerfully. "Thank you! How are you?"

She beams at him. "How're you?"

There were bonfires, too, but Filif made sure to be far away and in the forest by the time those started.
"I am also celebrating the holiday!" He is very proud of himself.

If that is indeed what the tree is doing. Even if it's not, there's a tree inside, and it's not Christmas. So the tree is getting eyed a bit uncertainly.
