Suzi has found a chair, and is curled up in it. She's not exactly staring at the fire, but she's rather not exactly doing much of anything else either. The problem with facing hard truths is that at first its even harder to operate than it was before you looked at the problem that really exists ( Read more... )

There is a shuffling noise from behind the chair, and the sound of chair legs being dragged against floor boards. This is followed by the appearance of two eyes and the top of a felty head sticking over the back of Suzi's chair.

"Heyyyy Suzzzii!" The puppet calls, peering over the back of the chair. It's Bill and his voice is a little hyper and slurred and he's hiding. Partly because he is a puppet and puppets are silly that way. And partly because he's missing his arm. Well, not really missing it, he has it with him it just isn't attached.

Being that he's in a crazy state of mind and can't see her face from where he's at he doesn't realize the mood Suzi is in.

Suzi's initial reaction to the nager and appearance of Bill can pretty much be summed up in "AAAA!"

She's got a phobia of children. Puppets are like EVIL FELTY CHILDREN.

"AAAHHH!" Bill screams in kind, disappearing from the back of the chair. His disappearance is followed by a THUMP as he falls of the chair he was standing on.

"Not you too!" is the half-wail she manages next.

No one can say that Dot, even with a processor made of fiberfil. When the Sime came by to sit in the chair with an expression that was far from her normal happy.. The sprite turned puppet climbed down from the relative safety of her own armchair to go over to her.

"Suzi.... ...you ok?"

"Oh, God. You, too, Dot?" The sight of the Sprite doesn't help. At all. Another person I just can't help. "I'm so sorry."w

"Yes. ...Suzi it isn't your fault." She sighed. "May I come up there?"

"Yes." She says quietly, "Of course. I can't help, I'm sorry." She does, however, bend down and offer her palm to stand in and a tentacle for a handle.

There is, for a while, a white gyrfalcon up in the rafters. Then the bird drops down to a nearby chair, cocks its head, and gives Suzi a curious look.

"Hi, Belar." She says quietly, "That's a pretty form."

Thanks, says Belar. It was this or the snowy owl, and Aldur's taken all the good owl species. How're you doing?

He probably knows already- he's like that- but he's a god known for his manners, so he's not going to overstep any boundaries.

"You know I can't lie, right?" She says quietly, "So, um." She shrugs. It is a rather unhappy shrug. It is a shrug of oh my God, SEVERED PUPPET ARM and I still hate myself, only now I hate myself for hating myself too. It's not that it's an eloquent shrug. It's just that she can't hide jack shit.

Suzi does not like puppets. They look too much like children. She does, however, offer a hand. "Here. Let me help." FREAKY POSSESSED CHILDREN WITH GOOGLY EYES.

This? Would NOT make Suzi's impression of the bar go up any. It is strongly suggested she not hear about the bothering. "I can understand that." She sets him in the chair and then returns to her own."

And there is a small girl in a purple bunny hat, curled up in a chair reading a purple-covered book. (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, hardcover. Bar gave it to her without the dustjacket- Molly's not sure why, but the reason is that this way it's much less obvious exactly what book it is.)

Occasionally she's breaking out in giggles. Favourite book.

"Good book?" She asks after a minute or so. Suzi has a mild phobia of children, it should be said, although ten and up isn't considered a child in her world.

"My favourite," Molly grins.

"Hi!"

"Hi." She echoes, pulling up a small smile from somewhere and nodding. At least Molly isn't a puppet.
