So there's this thing that the staff of CSC the White House Studio 60 does, where it's hard to pin people down when you need them, so you get used to conversations on the move. You know how mothers develop eyes in the backs of their heads? Matt has developed a similar sense with people who need him for whatever reason.

"Suzanne! What do you need?"

Suzanne in particular he's gotten particularly good with.

Serenity is so foreign to Matt that it draws him like a pack of hobos to a trash can fire. He veers off toward the -- whoa, hello, attractive woman who isn't Harriet.

"Nice outfit," he says cheerfully. "You do period pieces?"

If so, he's totally got the chick lit classics under his belt. Yes, being some breed of English major has its ups too.

One eyebrow arches very slightly, and Moiraine tilts her head as she looks at him.
