It's a rare occurance that Lawrence steps into the bar not of his own accord - he's rather greasy at the moment and there are a pair of round goggles atop his head ( Read more... )

James is at a table, decidedly not looking at the door, decidedly not smoking, decidedly not doing anything but being bored out of his mind. Sarah Jane and Vesper are off doing other things--socializing, perhaps--and there's only so much television you can watch and so many books you can read before you long to do nothing but nothing at all. Even that becomes tiring, and the tabletop he's staring at now holds no entertainment for him save the coin he's currently spinning around and around until it falls in a vibrating blur.

He does glance up to see the man who's just walked in, but just gives him a--

--double take.

Holy crap, it's Peter O'Toole?

Common misconception. James probably gets the same thing all the time.

He gives the waitrat a polite nod and takes the cup of tea. It's perfect as always, and the salad isn't half-bad either. He glances up to the man who's double-taking at him and quirks a brow at him.

"Can I help you?"

He grins, slightly, to offset the staring. "I'm sorry; you just looked familiar, is all."

"You're not from Parliament, are you?" Lawrence, after making sure that he's clean enough, offers James his hand.

"Thomas Edward Lawrence. Lawrence, if you please. I'm not terribly fond of those other names..."

If interested, there was a rather tempered wizard, looking more decidedly adult and graver these days. There was a new family crest ring on his hand, and he was working on various letters on rolls of parchment.

Old acquaintances are always of value. Lawrence stepped over to Draco with a slight nod.

"Young mister Malfoy." A pause, "Although perhaps not quite so young."

Draco glanced up, and he nodded, "Good evening Lawrence, and yes." Brief hand on the ring.

"There's only one Mr. Malfoy now." Aged in a couple of ways, and still trying to realize some things about himself.

He purses his lips, discerning what that might mean. He moves a hand to Draco's shoulder briefly.

"Of course. A good matter of things have gone on then. Perhaps I should return more often."
