One of the Big Folk is sitting not all that far away from the door; Ray occasionally takes up residence at a table nearer the entrance than his usual, just in case somebody comes in. When the staring starts, he looks up from his meal, blinking a moment. "Oh, hey," he says. "You're new. Hi there."

"What are you doing in Frodo's kitchen?" asks the smaller of the two.

"What are all of you doing in Frodo's kitchen?" Echos the larger, edging slightly in front of his cousin, protectively.

"It's not Frodo's kitchen at the moment," says Ray. "We're sort of..."

He recognizes the name, but has no clue of the faces he's talking to. His world's only cinematic rendition of The Lord of the Rings was done by Ralph Bakshi. So these could be ANY hobbits.

So.

"... magic spell on the door. It jumps around sometimes. Looks like it connected to the kitchen this time."

Well here's a fangirl.

Don't worry, she won't break canon.

She'll just squee quietly for a moment. And stare.

Did we mention she's Boromir's girlfriend?

Considering how the pair are staring about, it seems only fair that someone stare back in return.
"Do you suppose..." Says the older (and slightly taller, if he does say so himself) of the pair, "Do you suppose that this is where all of old Bilbo's money has gone off to? I don't remember there being rumors of any further excavations though."

It is a very fine theory.

"What?" says the younger of the duo (who is, he is certain, just as tall as Merry), blinking dumbly.

Unfortunately, Pippin wasn't listening to a word of it.

Finally, she gets her fangirl tendencies under control and smiles.

"Hey, you boys new?"

Of course, stupid question.

Ingress skips along with her milkshake. She spies who she takes to be two boys, a little older than she is.

"Hi!"

Pippin stares at her (it is a theme), nonplussed, but never let it be said that Eglantine Took taught her son no manners. "Hullo," he greets, head tilted to one side.

Merry takes in the blue-haired girl with an equal amount of stunned surprise, but notes that his cousin is staring. Well, that just won't do.

Even if he was just staring, himself.

Pippin gets elbowed in the ribs sharply as a warning to mind his manners.
"Hullo."

They don't quite look like little boys... But their smiles are nice.

"I'm Ingress. What are you called?"

Truman was watching the show outside the Observation Window, when he heard the front door open. He then spun around in his seat to watch... two small people. Children? Men?

He got up, and waved toward them, "Hi there! You new?"

Merry looks up... and up. Big Folk have this nasty tendency to be...

Big.

"Why no, we were just in the other room." He replies boldly, not wanting the big fellow to see how nervous he is.

"Merry," Pippin says, blowing that cover good and quick, "I don't think we're in Bag End anymore."

And Truman was pretty big for a Big Folk too. He took a step back, and then crouched down to be more eye level with them.

"Nope, this is Milliways. Is Bag End where you come from?"
