Bar is pretty good at providing clothes. Wellard has used this fact, specially when visiting other worlds and times. Provide a date and place, and he usually then gets clothing of a suitable fashion that blends in ( Read more... )

The young man's clothing is old-fashioned to Edmund's eyes, though not so much as to look medieval or Narnian, and with a cut to it that puts him vaguely in mind of the military.

Which does beg the question, rather, of why he's looking through a catalogue of tuxedos.

At Milliways, Edmund has learned not to ask such questions, by and large; it's often not worth the headache. All the same, he happens to catch the younger man's eye, and it's only polite to smile when he does.

And, rather painfully looking through a catalogue of tuxedos, with the expression that sooner or later, he may just randomly flip open to a page and decide 'that one'.

Which may be sooner, rather than later, actually. Thus, when Wellard sets the catalogue down, it is a rather amused (if slightly frusterated) smile and nod he gives Edmund.

"Good evening."

Another Brit! Edmund had guessed, tentatively, but with all the Americans and space aliens around it's always nice.

"Evening."

Amiably, "You look as if you're having tremendous fun."

Wellard smiles wryly, and motions down to the catalogue. "Usually when I ask for clothing for a certain time and place, I just get it. For this, however, I'm rather guessing the Bar thinks I should be a bit more active in choosing what I'm to be wearing."

"Ah, good evening, miss." Wellard sets down the catalogue (thankfully, as now he does not have to deal with trying to pick something!), and stands, with a nod to Ginny.

He shakes his head, motioning at the catalogue ruefully. "Not at all, so don't worry about it."
