Awww, it's cute! Miniver loves dogs.

"Here boy..." He lowers a hand and beckons to it.

"'Here boy'?" Dog says, tail wagging only slightly.

Dammit he needs that tag that says "I am not a real dog".

So many people don't get it...

Oh. Well then.

Miniver slowly sits up and takes a drink.

"Sorry," he attempts sheepishly. "My world never had talking animals when I lived in it."

"I somehow feel," a light voice said behind him, "that this might make matters worse. Whatever matters are."

"Matters?" Miniver blinks at the violently purple person. "Niiiiice makeup."

"Whatever you've been brooding about," Asar-Suti said. "And I'm not wearing makeup. Sorry."

"Oh." This revelation gets mulled over as he takes another drink. "I'm not brooding. I'm actually very happy. I think. I've never been happy before, so it's a little bit hard to tell."
