There is nothing at all out of the ordinary in this entry post. Just Suzi Darley, a book, and a cup of tea.

Alright, so the tea is cut with fosbine, and she's got a lovely impression of Mr. John Preston's fist taking up a large chunk of her face, but other than that things are, in fact, perfectly normal.

Like Suzi, Yuna is small, delicate, fine-skinned and dark-haired; like Suzi, she has tea and a book.

It's possible that she's also like Suzi in terms of having big ugly bruises somewhere about her person, but none are visible outside her clothes. (Today.)

Also, no tentacles.

At some point she looks up from her book, and lifts a hand to cover her mouth when she sees Suzi's face. "Ah--excuse me?" she says, rising. "Do you need healing?"

"Um?" She says, looking up and offering a smile, "I, thank you? Um. That...might be, um." Suz doesn't trust magic, not after the Tofu Incident. On the other hand, she's pretty sure Whistler would be happier if she wasn't hurting.

Stress! Delay! "I'm Suzi, Suzi Darley?" Think Think Think!

Yuna returns the smile. Smiles she is good at. Sort of an expert. This one is encouraging and kindly.

"If you can't, I, understand," she says. "If I were healed here, it would be hard to explain when I went back. But it's already after noon, I don't think I'll need to do so much more healing today."

Although it would be bad to turn out to be wrong, and she veers off, mentally. "Or I have some potions, too. People gave them to me, passing them on is no big deal."

"Um. Alright. I think Whistler would be happier if I was healed. I got hit here?" She smiles more (she and Yuna have this in common!) and nods a little bit, "I did, um. Start it, though."

Hop Hop-

"SUZI!"

Private waddles across the floor as fast as his little penguin legs can take him. Following him is a slightly subdued Kowalski and Skipper.

The Skipper stops short, "-Soldier? You get into an engagement?"

He points at the bruise on her face.

"I slapped John Preston and he punched me back." She agrees with Skipper, sliding down to the ground to give Private a pat.

She'd snuggle him, if he were snuggleable.

A penguin that's not snuggable is like a sandwich without sardines.

Or something like that.

As it is, Private makes happy WARK WARK noises as the skipper clenches a flipper,

Kowalski speaks up next,"...This guy Preston? You want us to put a fishhead in his bed?"

"Before we make his death look like an accident?"

"Um." She thinks about it for a moment, "I did start it, so you shouldn't kill him? But, um. I wouldn't argue with fish heads in his bed." Suzi? Adores these birds.

Because the mun, truly, is a masochist: that British guy Suzi met last night is now staring at that lovely, lovely impression of Preston's fist with two parts concern and one (growing) part indignation on Suzi's behalf.

"Who did that to you?" he asks in what he hopes is a not too demanding voice.

"John Preston." She says, answering the concern and indignation, "But I slapped him first? For calling me and Whistler defective?"

"Well obviously he deserved it." Yeah, you can't convince James Bond that violence isn't the answer.

"I shouldn't have hit him, though. Its, um. Against the rules?" She's got issues. Mostly involving authority.

Mr. Universe does not think fist-sized bruises on the face are normal. He can't tell about the fosbine from here, but the bruise is enough.

"...uh, Suzi? What happened?"

"I slapped John Preston, and he punched me." She says, blinking up at him.

"...he punched you?"

Mr. Universe is an utterly non-violent man, not least because he's small and would lose most fights. He doesn't much like what he's hearing.

"I fell down." She asserts, "Then someone locked him up. But I did hit first."

Now that Ryan can hold his hand steady again, he's planning to head upstairs to work on that bracelet.

That may be postponed now that he sees Suzi.

"Who hit you?" he asks gruffly, recognizing the bruise immediately. Surely not Whistler, unless he's been reinfected by tofu. There may be some narrowing of the eyes on Ryan's part.

Ryan frowns at her, disapproval evident. "You had a good reason, I trust?" Though...that is an awful big bruise of retaliation. Suzi couldn't hit hard enough to warrant that, could she?

"He said Whistler was defective, and he started to say that I was, too." She can. She didn't.
