April and a kitten sit down.

She's rather attached. Erm, April to the kitten, that is. Though the other way around is true as well.

"Why don't you start?" April suggests. "You look... pensive."

Trust a writer to come up with that word.

"So, I'm really ambivalent about New Year's this year." she declares.
