A concerned man watches for a moment, then sighs.

He knows her not, and yet, like him, she seems alone this night.

Henry wanders closer, having fetched hot chocolate in two glasses.

"Excuse me, miss?"

He is rather tall, with hands and feet outsized, and a form like an ape's, but with human features, even if his brow is slightly outsized as wel./

April sniffs and scrubs at her eyes quickly before looking up and smiling (rather forced, admittedly) at him.

"Hey. Can I help you?"

"Ah, well, not really. But you looked like you could use this."

he held out the second large mug of hot chocolate.

"I am here alone tonight,a nd saw you... and thought I would come over to say hello."

It feels odd... talking to someone again, someone likely a normal human. Very odd.

"Oh." April smiles a little and takes the mug gratefully. "Thanks."

She blows on it and takes a sip, looking up at him with a mixture of sympathy and curiosity. "You don't have anyone to spend tonight with?"

"Mrrw?" says the soft white thing on the floor in front of her. It could mean anything from What's wrong? to Why're you in my spot?

April blinks at the cat.

"Hey, beauty." she says softly. "Am I in your spot?"

The cat leaps up next to her and pads over, curious. Bright green eyes shine up at her.

April extends a hand slowly for the cat to smell.

"You're a very pretty thing. Do you belong to anyone?"

Someone must have told Boromir about the tradition of gift-giving, as beneath the Bar Christmas tree is a small package, wrapped in fabric and with a tag reading April's name in ornate script.

Inside is a wooden box, hand-carved, sanded to silky smoothness. The tree of Gondor is carved on the lid, and April's name is carved on the bottom.

[ooc: must get to bed and won't be online until tomorrow night at the earliest, but Boromir wanted to give his gift.]

Under the tree there is a package bearing April's name. Within it are several hand-bound leather journals, a set of oil paints and watercolor, and a beautiful blue cashmere sweater.

There is also a letter from Collins, affectionate and loving.

[ooc: Also heading to bed and I have no idea when I'll be on tomorrow but he would not forget her.]
