April's downstairs in loose, soft-looking clothing, sitting gingerly on the couch. Her face is rather bright red.

As fun as her afternoon out of the bar with Cait had been... sunburns are no fun, even if it does give her an excuse to have her boyfriend rub aloe all over her.

Bother at will.

Boromir approaches her from behind and smoothes her hair down, placing a kiss at her crown. "How are you feeling?"

"All right . . ." He strokes her hair as he thinks, and then smiles and said, "I'm told a certain something grows in its pouch, swells and stands up, lifts its covering. A proud bride grasped that boneless wonder, the daughter of a king covered that swollen thing with clothing."

He tries not to smirk.

That gets a very noticeable blush, which is saying something, given the sunburn.

"Is my mind just permanently in the gutter from living with my roommates, or did you really just tell that?" she asks with a laugh.

He smiles.

"I did just say that. But remember, it's a riddle. Your first thought probably isn't the answer."

"Probably not. But still."

She purses her lips and frowns a little, thinking.

Eventually, she sticks her tongue out. "I'm obviously not a riddle person." she said. "I have no idea."

"Bread dough," he says and kisses her.

April attempts to think through that logically.

It's complicated by the fact that she's never baked bread in her life, and the fact that kisses are distracting.

"That one's harder when you've never baked bread before." she murmurs, bumping their noses together lightly. "Or seen bread being baked."

"I," he whispers, "have even made cookies."

See April.

See April Dot.

Dot, April, Dot!

"You, sir, are too good to be true." she declares finally, and pokes his stomach. "Are you sure you're not a figment of my imagination?"

He kisses her a little harder and whispers, "Do I feel like a figment of your imagination?"

Boromir, you've about turned your girlfriend into a puddle of goo.

"No." she whispers.

...damn this sunburn. Really.

"Too bad it's not summer," he murmurs, tracing her shoulder. "The cool lake water would feel good on your skin."

"Yeah..." April shivers a little and sighs. Just the thought makes her long for summer.

"It'll come soon. Yesterday was the shortest day. It'll only get warmer from here."

He holds her gently and kisses her hair.

"Though when it's cold . . . it's an excuse to be close."

Boromir officially has a puddle of goo for a girlfriend.

"You're rather amazing, do you know that?" she asks, slipping an arm around his waist.

He chuckles. "I'm only honest.

"Maybe you do bring out the poet in me."
