April's downstairs in loose, soft-looking clothing, sitting gingerly on the couch. Her face is rather bright red.

As fun as her afternoon out of the bar with Cait had been... sunburns are no fun, even if it does give her an excuse to have her boyfriend rub aloe all over her.

Boromir approaches her from behind and smoothes her hair down, placing a kiss at her crown. "How are you feeling?"

"I think you would get cross with me if I were ever to take you for granted."

"I might not notice." she says with a small smile. "But I can think of at least... five people who would get more than cross with you for it."

"I tremble with fear at your friends," he says dryly.

"Hey, you'd better fucking tremble." April teases. "They'll gang up on you."

He laughs quietly against her hair. "Then I ought stay on my best behavior."

"Damn straight."

God, that girl's got a mouth. Heh.

He raises an eyebrow at her but just chuckles. Just because they don't swear in canon doesn't mean they don't ever.

"Never shall your feet touch the ground, if that will reassure your friends."

Of course. What kind of soldier would he be if he didn't swear?

April tilts her head a bit. "That's pretty, but what does it mean?"

"I . . . don't know. Perhaps I'll mark your path with rose petals."

Slow smile. "I knew you had a poet in you."

He laughs. "If you say so. I won't be writing ballads any time soon, though."

"No, I wouldn't expect you to." Grin.

"A short limerick, perhaps..."

"And what, pray tell, is a limerick?"

"It's a comedic type of poem." she grins. "two rows of nine syllables, two of five, then one more of nine. The nine syllable lines all rhyme, and the five syllable lines rhyme."
