April's downstairs with a CD player and a book.

Funny, she hasn't ever listened to Roger's CD when she was happy before.

Might have something to do with her reading material. Or, more precisely one of the subjects of her reading material.

April with a copy of Fellowship of the Ring. Bother at will.

Hands grasp her shoulders and someone kisses the top of her head.

Three guesses as to who.

The headphones come off and she turns to beam up at him.

"Hey, you."

"Hello," he says, smiling down at her. "What is this?" He touches the CD player.

"Oh, it's... it's a CD player. Um." April tilts her head and opens it to show him the CD. "This has music on it, believe it or not. You put it in here and put these," she holds up the headphones, "over your ears, and you can hear the music."

"A completely biased retelling of the events, I assure you," comes a voice from not too far away.

Melkor leans back in his chair and nods to indicate the book.

"Oh?" April raises an eyebrow. "Well, I suppose any re-telling is going to be biased by what the author thinks."

He nods. "Particularly when the author is writing about himself. Deeds have a tendency to become embellished, enemies trivialized... that kind of thing. Pity I was unable to be a party to the actual events, though, only a witness. Things might have turned out quite differently otherwise."

April raises an eyebrow. "You're from Middle-Earth, then?" And obviously not one of the good guys.
