Hannah, over by the fireplace, with a loop of string stretched between her fingers. She just wanted to see if she could still remember how make string figures. She's stuck on Jacob's ladder, and fast losing patience with the whole thing.
Distraction, in the form of company, would be lovely.

So. Hopefully just walking over is alright? With two (normal, non-soy!) vanilla capuchinos?
"... Good evening, Hannah."

There might have been hand motions to illustrate this, but there are not, and for two reasons. One, Hannah is good at distractions. Two, she has one of his hands, and Wellard is in really no rush to move it away.

Hannah, in no rush to let him move his hand away, traces the lifeline across his palm.
She's very good at distractions.

But as it was stated moments before, Wellard quite enjoys challenges.
It is an easy enough manuver, to wrap his hand around Hannah's, and bring it closer to brush a kiss across the back of her knuckles.
"There were some items of value in the chest, though everything in it has been interesting to go over, to say the least."

Not that the key is all that interesting at this particular moment, of course. It's fallen in the floor at some point in all this.

"Ah. Some small statues, a couple rings, a tapestry..."

"Worth setting out on a life of crime on, then?" she asks, passing her thumb across the ends of his fingers.

...
Among other things.
"Ah- more of a life of adventuring, as it were. Its the getting there, rather than... what you get."
Reply
"Of course, the what-you-get can be pretty important, too."
Hannah is really not talking about a tapestry or a chest here.

Wellard smiles faintly.
"I suppose the getting there, with all the time before hand, makes such things all the more valuable."

She shifts her hand enough to lace her fingers in between his.

Obviously.
"And then in the figuring out how to keep what you get. Especially since locking it in a brig apparently doesn't work."

She finally and very slowly pulls her hand free of his.
"We dropped your key, Henry."
Reply
"Ah, given the trouble someone went to, to get it in that box, it wouldn't do to lose it, really."
