apple. appleappleapple. lady don't have no apples.
There's a light ripple in the water as a small creature crosses it, quickly and smoothly. There are no lights here, no trees in the water, no ... funny smells.
But maybe there are apples.
He crawls ashore and shakes his fur dry, mind set.

For Crack. For Honor. For the Sake of all the muns at Milliways and then some...
There is a Penguin.
The skipper's taking measure of the place, accompanied by Rico...who is counting acorns.
"....Nuts!"
Rico points and the Skipper stares. Higher Mammal. He's always detested them. Far too full of themselves.
"....Greetings Higher Mammal!"

A head tilt, a light squeek, and Jack is scurrying over.
They're white and black. They have beaks.
They're not apples.
Maybe they're tasty anyway.
Squeak?

".....Banana Peels." Rico says sagely before he sets his acorn fully aside to greet the new arrival. It's wet. Perhaps it can be played with.
The Skipper...Is slightly more cautious. Horatio'd at least say Hi "...We're not food sir. We're Flightless Birds."

Monkey narrows his eyes and takes a closer look at dinner the Flightless Birds.

"Here now, I shan't hurt you. I just want to warm you up." She gently wraps the towel around him.

there must be some kind of trick. Jack tucks this thought back in his head while smiling. She doesn't appear to have any apples on her, but perhaps she can take him somewhere where there are apples. He tilts his head and widens the smile -- though not too much.

'...I should have expected as much,' he mutters darkly, eyeing the little creature.

That man doesn't look like he has apples. He doesn't have a hat, either. But any port in a storm.
Jack approaches, low and quiet.

The eyeing continues as Jack approaches.
'I sincerely hope you do not intend to repeat your overly enthusiastic greeting from before,' Merriman says, calmly but sternly.
