Matt Parkman's life is full of things not on schedule. Everything about his World's essentially flipped out and gone haywire, but he's learning to live with it. So he can hear the thoughts of others. So he's trapped in an extradimensional bar. It could be worse.

Such as it is, he's playing catch. Bouncing a ball against the wall nearest to his own nonexistant door with reasonably decent coordination. Please pardon him if he annoys you?

The word of the moment was, "Ack," as he suddenly saw a ball being tossed toward him - aha, no, it was the wall.

Okay, he can deal with that, he thinks. "So, uh... Having fun?" he asked, closing the door behind him.

Matt throws the ball, responds with a "Huh?" Before it smacks him square in the face.

Dammit.

Holding his nose, Matt swore before setting the ball aside, "...Kind of. I'm running out of things to do here."

Pause.

"...You must be new?"

"You all right?" That was a little more important than whether or not he was new. "Yeah, this is my second time here - you didn't... break your nose or anything, did you? Uh - need ice?"
