Another day, another table, another plate of cookies.

This seems largely to be the way of things for Raven, lately.

It is a very great pity.

Fortunately he doesn't look too put out by matters.

The grin is sort of a giveaway, really.

That and the easy sprawl he's adopted. Comfort is not something to be avoided.

Lethe is always pleased to see Raven.

Also cookies - but mostly Raven.

So there is a nymph sliding a plate (complete with chocolate eclair) onto the table and leaning over the back of one of the chairs.

This, perhaps, is not the best of plans when one is terribly short - as it tends to involve a lot more balance then is strictly necessary.

But there is no toppling for the moment. So all is well.

Raven will likely be careful enough not to make her topple over.

As it is, he is staring at the chocolate eclair, grinning.

"It is a very pretty thing, that one, I think."

"Parker showed me them."

Voice bright, completely factual.

She sits neatly, because seats are generally made for such things.

A wide smile.

"How are you?"

"Were there also demonstrations?"

Raven sounds intrigued.

Then he eats the eclair. Icing is good, honestly.

"I am well enough, I think. You are, as well, I hope?"

And there is a Morgan, hugging her knees with one arm and eyeing the cookies. And older Morgan, early twenties-and-queen-and-mother Morgan, but still Morgan.

"Hello, Raven."

Raven looks up at her, blinking.

Then he grins.

"Morgan. You are well, I am hoping?"

She grins back.

"I am well. Husband and children and books."

"It is in order of importance, that?"

He might be laughing a little.

Generally, Ace just comes over and steals cookies blatantly. Every once in a while, however, she gets the urge to be sneaky about it.

So today?

She is an awesome hunting hawk, swooping down and capturing prey.

Or. You know. A little Eurasian Jay that has failed to realize the cookie weighs just about as much as she does.

Bother.
