She'd been enjoying her own supper, she had, and was debating, now, whether to pick some more flowers to give out, before they all went to sleep for the winter. It's with a smile on her face that she wanders, thanking Bar for her supper and on the lookout for somebody to talk to, perhaps the kindly old gentleman who had agreed to teach her chess.
That smile quickly fades, however, upon seeing the dark, brooding man, and it's not without some spectacle that she quickly turns about on her heels and hurries back to her room -- one of them, anyway.
Archibald doesn't see Martha go. However, even if Archibald Craven had noticed the girl, he wouldn't have recognised her. He's never bothered to learn the names and faces of the under-servants at Misselthwaite Manor.
