The scenery outside the door (were you looking over his shoulder as it swings quickly open) might jar a very little. Grey, certainly, but not quite the right shade, and the streets don't look nearly narrow enough for London. And Morgan watches him, curious.

"Not human, not demon or son of Lucifer, not faery..." The words, lilting in her Cornish accent, are soft but more thinking out loud then actually spoken.

Aziraphael can probably still hear them, though.

He was scanning the newspaper when she spoke, and perhaps he still is - he doesn't look up, certainly, and his voice sounds distracted, though the warmth of amusement can be heard around the edges.

Tom shakes back vigorously. "I've been- well, other than that stretch in June, I've been fine, very fine. Things got a bit unpleasant there, but knowing what you told me, about what I wasn't, got me through it all."
