Khayman was leaning in a dark corner and watching mortals live.

That was always entertaining.

Ana isn't exactly mortal, but that's rather beside the point at the moment, given as how she's peeking over the top of her booth, "That's tricky."

She was of course, referring to the dark corner.

There was blinking, "There was a what?" Clearly, she'd missed this.

This was possibly because she'd been back home, but also possibly because sometimes she didn't notice things.

"An Armageddon clock," Khayman repeated. "That was what made the bright light when it was destroyed?"

"Ah." She said, nodding, "I suppose that makes sense." Yep, she'd missed that.

"Everything shook for days," Khayman said, vaguely and disapproving.

Her nose wrinkled again, shaking her head, "Earthquakes are no fun for anybody, especially ones that don't occur naturally."

"Especially if the earth you stand on is this small anyway," Khayman agreed. "This is just a little worldlet the bar is built on - it breaks easily."

She nodded once more, chin resting on her hands again, elbows on the back of her booth, "Really it is, like the bit of rivermud that Otter scraped up to put on Turtle's shell for the First People."

"Less soggy though," Khayman said.

She grinned crookedly, "Clearly you've never been here when it's raining. Or in a blizzard."

"Rarely indoors," Khayman said. "The quakes happened indoors as well, though."

"Ah-ha." really that was enough of an answer, at least for the moment. It was right about then that a spring-green duck flip-flopped it's way around the edge of the booth to inch up on Khayman, extending one webbed foot with a solemn 'whonk'

Ana laughed, "That's Duck, he wants to shake your hand, he thinks he's my bodyguard."

This was, after all, Milliways.

Khayman solemnly shook the duck's webbed foot.

Duck nodded once and then toddled back to wherever he'd been.

Ana shrugged, "the others went normal colored once they molted. He hasn't yet. Not sure why."

"It is very nice colour," Khayman said, shrugging.

Why shouldn't a duck that shook your hand be green as well? This was Milliways.

She grinned at that, "Thanks! Just took the right mixture of blue cornmeal into the normal yellow stuff."

Yes. Cornmeal.
