Mal sees the note, and after Kaylee's recent...health concerns, staring at the blue inked piece of paper seems to just add a few more lines on Mal's face; a tightening of the jaw.
KARR has come to look at the noticeboard out of sheer boredom-but as soon as he reads Ryan's note, his scanner blazes, flicking angrily. "Damn." Even with the way he bickered with Tony at times, he still counted him as friend.
The AI makes his way over to Ryan, his engine growling as he parks. "What, excatly, happened to Tony?" It's not the most polite way to ask, but being polite isn't exactly on the forefront of his mind right now.
The noise of the engine gets his attention before KARR even speaks.
"He went on a mission," Ryan begins, not ruffled by the AI's tone, "to rescue Jack Bauer after he was captured. That rescue attempt failed, Tony and the others were captured and Tony was killed immediately."
Honestly, he's not sure about the last part. The only person he's talked to about this and her memories of events were hazy - it could have been a while after they were captured for all Ryan knew. However, from his tone you'd never guess there was any doubt in his mind how it happened.
KARR's engine growls again for a moment, but it quickly settles down. "And what about Michelle? How is she?" He can't help but think she's not doing very well-Tony is dead, after all-but it still seems like the sort of question that should be asked.
A long time had passed since Malcolm had had a chance to talk to Tony. So when he sees the notice he stops in shock, and stands there open-mouthed as he re-reads the notice.
It's an odd thing for a dead man to mourn the death of another. But Malcolm is saddened by the thought that Tony's world is probably not as forgiving as Malcolm's own turned out to be (as unexpected as his afterlives have been).
When he finishes reading the notice a second time, Malcolm walks over to the bar and orders a scotch, holding the glass up in a silent toast to Tony. And hopes that, wherever he might be, he's enjoying the restful peace he's earned many times over.
After dinner at the flat, Ryan comes back to his "post", taking a seat at a nearby table. He notices Moiraine nearby but doesn't say anything, figuring if she wants to talk to him, she will.
It takes her several moments, but eventually she looks around the room. Evidently she is searching for someone-- and as her glance falls on him, Moiraine moves toward him.

Mr. Chappelle, Jack, and any who'd see this --
I coul would like to help, with the memorial.
Let me know if I can be of some assistance.

"And who killed him?"

He hoped she did and that she wasn't alone.
"The guards at the prison where Jack was being held."

She doesn't see him until she's at her booth, but when she does, she walks straight to him.
