"I should like one - a scotch on the rocks, please," Tom says, not eyeing her short skirt as that would not be a thing to do. It's rather hard. There are shapely legs and all. Damned Americans and their skimpy clothing.

"How have you been? It's been quite some time since I last spoke with you."

"I like to think so," he preens.

Then he laughs, and his cheeks go slightly pink. "And on that note, I'd best be saying good evening before I say something that gets me in trouble with said lucky woman."

"No worries, I wouldn't want to cause trouble."

Such a lie. But actually, she wouldn't want to cause Tom any particular trouble. At the moment.
