Angela is watching the door. She sometimes focuses on her plate, but for the most part, she's watching the door. She'd seen Behrooz come back and stayed out of the way as Lyrae healed him.

She knew he was okay.

But she didn't know about her dad, or Chris, or her grampa, or Tony...

Underneath the haze of worry, Angela is very, very, very tired.

The door opens, but it's not her father, or grandfather. Not even Tony.

Just Melou, dusting off the front of his trousers and looking a little surprised to be here.

"Pretty much the same." He smiles back and holds one of her hands.

"Was just getting my horse ready to go, actually."

Angela runs a thumb over his hand. "And the Bar interrupted your day again." Her smile is a little brighter.

"It likes to do that, yeah." The food arrives and he puts the fries between them, and one coke each. "Not complaining, of course."

"Me niether. You always seem to come when I need you." She takes a sip of coke and munches a fry.

"I'm quite grateful for that."

"Well, I do have future visions. Maybe I make myself come here without really thinking about it because of that." He shrugs and snags a fry as well.

"Maybe," she says. "I guess we won't know."

Angela keeps her eyes away from the door with an effort.

"Are your visions the same all the time, or do they change?"

"They change. I think. I mean, I've already had two that came true and I remembered after the fact, so I must get new ones." It's his only way of explaining it.

"That makes sense. Were they about good things or bad things?"

"I think that depends on your perspective." He smiles thinly. "First one I know of that came true was about the man my brother and I first killed."

"Ah. So...good for you, not so good for him?"

She's not sure how much she wants to know about that, but she's fairly sure that he's killed quite a lot of people.

At least in her reckoning, anyway.

"You could say that, yeah. Other one was about the sword Mam gave me last year, so they're kind of all over the place."

She smiles again. "It's strange what your visions decide to have you dream."

She's eating without thinking of it and feeling a little better.

"Tell me about it." He snorts softly. "And what about you? Been sleeping any better?"

"Well, not last night, understandably enough, but at least it wasn't nightmares, just not sleeping. But before that, yeah. I was sleeping okay."

"Good. You do look tired, though, so you should really try to sleep tonight. No point in making yourself sick over this. That won't help anyone."
