Do forgive the Lady for being absent, but she's had a Macbeth to occupy her, and some creatures are more distracting than perhaps warranted. Still, one does feel something for them, something as fierce as the rest of her ( Read more... )

Antigone, unfortunately, does not know enough to be wary of the smile. She herself is on her way outdoors-- but she spends most of her time there, and therefore is easily distracted by bar happenings.

"Lady Macbeth," she says softly, surprised.

She nearly glides by the voice, so lightly does it brush against her ear. It takes her a moment to recognize the girl.

"Antigone! Hello, heart -- how are your blooms?"

She smiles faintly.

"They're all right. I've been thinking of planting something else ... but I don't know what. Not yet."

The Lady leans close.

"I have heard that by clever means of pruning and potting, one may keep a tree as old as Methuseleh as small as a mere sapling. I read of it in a book of the Orient, with pictures as well. The name was queer, though -- something about bones."

He has excellent luck with this lady.

She recieves a kiss on the cheek in greeting.

"Good even, my dear."

He receives a purr from deep in her throat.

"How now, my soldier? Are you so wanting of my company, when you have known me so well of late?"

Clever fingers weave through his hair. He need not fear of being sent away.
