Melpomene sits in a dusky corner of the bar, watching the shouting, laughing people as they pass by. She looks restless, though her boots are crossed on the coffee table and her hands are calm as on each arm of the chair-like she's waiting for something.

In her right hand she holds a smouldering cigarette loosely, as she always does.

There's an old man near her table suddenly, leaning on a stick and peering at her dice.

"Count me in."

"I do not play games."

The voice comes from the distinctly blue-looking woman nearby, who, despite her scornful tone, is watching rather intently.

She knows there's power here already. Creatures not mortal, not human, for once not lesser.

Her interest is piqued.

And there's a young woman making her way past with a drink, until the would be gamblers catch her attention.

"Well now, that depends on the stakes, I suppose." She's never been fond of gambling for the often unpleasant outcomes, but chance can be interesting to play with.

Melpomene lowers her eyes from the cup gently shaking in her hand.

"That depends on what you are willing to gamble," she says to the girl. Banana tequila for life!

"No one asked you to play." This directed at the blue girl. Whether she'd been any color of the rainbow, her answer would have been the same. Voice, eyes-- dark.
