There is one Lyle Norg, in the bar, at a table. He wandered down from the upstairs a few minutes ago, in hopes of finding something interesting - but it's hard to find something interesting when you're feeling restless

A very large woman in jeans and t-shirt wanders in the Door, and blinks at trhe man going invisible and visible. She wanders over... a little closer... a little closer. Then one time, unable to help herself, pokes when he goes invisible.
For a doctor, Sally seems surprisingly... well, unsurprised at seeing a boy's hand flashing between being visible and invisible. After all, the fact that it returns means he still has it and that he's probably doing that on purpose.
Still, it is interesting, and so she watches intently, attempting to discern if it's an organic or inorganic process.
"I don't think I have a button to press," Lyle says in response. If he did, that might be... rather interesting, to say the least. "But it works at my will, yes."
Brainy makes his way over to where Lyle's sitting and slides onto the chair across from him. There's a smudge of something that may be soot across his cheek and a feather he failed to notice sticking out of his hair.
"You need a new pillow," he tells Lyle by way of greeting.
He can guess, really. Brainy attempted some experiment, and for some reason a pillow was utterly essential: and obviously his own couldn't be used. Either that, or one misfired, and the pillow was an unfortunate casualty.
He's severely tempted to steal Brainy's for his own, and leave him pillowless.
Brainy foresaw the secondary thought and has put his pillow somewhere out of Lyle's reach. Which is to say, he put it in a pocket universe. They're remarkably useful.
"Our communicators can't be modified to work from here," Brainy replies. It's not exactly an explanation, and it isn't an answer to Lyle's question, but it's what he was working on and Lyle should know.
"I'm not surprised." If anybody would have been able to do it, it would have been Brainy - but clearly there was something about this place that stopped it entirelly. "Maybe it would work if we found some way to back it up with magic."
That, after all, quite often beat the laws of science. But of course, neither of them could actually harness it.

Lyle is completely visible now once more, and giving her an odd look to go along with it. "Do you usually go around poking strangers?"

"It's not due to any of those reasons, actually."

"Hello there," he calls.

She is exempt from the entertained category because being entertained and interested are different things, yes they are.

Were the two mutually exclusive?

The pillow was an innocent bystander, really.
