Millitime invoked.Out of the infirmary is good- even if Wellard is moving stiffly, and carefully. He may still be on the mend- but he alive, and will be better, and now well enough to be in the bar, with his papers and plans ( Read more... )

Amy isn't in the bar much these days, keeping to the House, for the most part. But she needed pins, for her hair for the party, and she's come to ask Bar for them.

So it's a very dressed up and princessy Amy who stops by.

"Hello, Henry."

Princessy indeed. Wellard blinks, looking up at her. "Amy. You- you certainly could be a princess."

... That did not sound exactly right.

"Not that you are not, but-"

Amy giggles, and sweeps him an absurdly grand curtsey.

"Thank you," she says, taking the comment in the spirit in which it was intended.

"How are you?"

Wellard laughs quietly- (and quite a bit relieved Amy did figure all of that meant, somehow, 'you look nice').

"Quite better for being well enough to be out of the infirmary, I do think. I'm still to be careful- and I am- but it is nice to be able to be up and about, to some degree."

And Wynssa Fel is a librarian.

She can't help but be curious -- all right, so she doesn't know him at all, but she's still tilting her head to see if she can take a peek at ... oh.

English.

Now Wyn is just blinking at said list bewilderedly. It's not fair.

And those ship designs-

Sails. Rigging. Ropes, wood and canvas, or at least that is what the drawings and plans are using, and nothing on the plans so far that indicate an engine. (Wellard and Avar are still figuring what to use for lift. Magic has been a seriously considered option.)

Not all the notes are in english- there is another language in there, and the key on the plans has what looks like a conversion chart between two numerical systems. Ah, Milliways.

Wellard has been keeping an eye out, in general, so he is now quietly watching Wyn as well.

"That's meant to go on water?" Wyn guesses, quietly. The drawings at least are coherent enough for her to guess she is looking at a boat.

Or just a very nicely sketched something totally different that looks like a boat.

No surprised glance to her at the question; Wellard shakes his head.

"They're based on ships that do, but these will fly. With any luck- we're still working on the idea."

The recovering Wellard has another one looking glad to see him. "Ah, young man. It's good to see you up and about again. I heard you had it pretty rough, a little while back."

"Mr Aphelise." Wellard is not, perhaps, as happy to see him.

"Quite so, from what I've been told. I was in the infirmary starting from the first of May."

The look behind the smile is curious, attentive, watching the young man's face. "I'm glad you are well again, then. Lying in an infirmary is tedious business. You'll soon be back to designing your flying ships, I wager."

"Already, yes." Wellard nods, with a slight motion to the papers on the table. "The doctor did say I would be fine, so there is no reason not to."

[For great slowtimeness as is headed to work...]

It is her place to be sensitive to such things, Tools, no matter that she has an armful of puppy that is now just large enough to have open eyes and curiousity...

So there are two beings nearby, twosets of eyes trained on him, one unnervingly blue and empty, the other a mismatched set of brown and green...

And while Wellard is watching the bar as a whole, someone quiet and without threat is not as easily picked up on as someone who is-

So it takes little while before he sees her. But he does-

And he beams, standing up. "Miss Lizzie."

She didn't flinch away as he stood, but the edges of her eyes winced slightly at the abrupt movement...and yet still she dipped a gracious curtsey, Foolish cradled gently in her arms.

"You are ill"

"Not ill." He sighs quietly. "Just rather got hurt, is all."

Wellard blinks a bit, looking at Tool. "You have a puppy. ... And you cut your hair."
