[At the Taos installation, Charlie gets a surprise.]

The front door opens, and Charlie McGee steps in, studying a piece of paper held loosely in one hand.

After a moment, she looks up from the paper and glances around in surprise. She hasn't been able to find a door here since January.

A somewhat scruffy, scrawny young man sitting at the Bar and nursing a beer turns at the motion of the opening door, and watches the woman who walks in, noting her surprise. At her glance in his direction, he raises his hand in a wave of greeting, a little hesitant. It is still odd for him to see so many people in one place.

She smiles at him, a friendly smile, and waves back.

The smile sparks one in return from him, and he takes his eye away from her to glance at the open barstools near his own seat, and look back up at her, questioning.

Her smile widens, pleased, and she heads in his direction.

"Thank you," she says as she sits down. "I don't think we've met; I'm Charlie McGee."

[prydeful]

She looks surprised, which is why Kitty ventures from her chair, "New?"

Charlie glances at her. "What? Sorry -- no, it's just been a long while since I could get here."

[prydeful]

"Oh! Welcome back, then, I guess," after a moment, before leaning over and offering a hand. "And nice to meet you. Kitty Pryde."

[ladyfirestarter]

"Charlie McGee." She takes Kitty's hand in a firm handshake.

And then pauses, considering. "It ... seems to me I've heard your name before."
