He's stopped moping, that's a good thing.

Now he's standing in front of the door, wand in hand, trying any spell he can think of.

"Alohamora! Alohamara! Arolama! Aoaoa!"

Sadly, none of these are freeing him.

"It won't open."

From the vampire curled up in front of the fire, watching him lazily.

Arthur turns towards the voice.

"Are you so positive? Maybe everyone has just become so inured to it not opening, they just stopped trying. There HAS to be a way."

"Oh, I tried."

Gets up slowly, wanders over. The acid burns are now less noticible, thankfully, but she still moves stiffly.

"Physical violence wouldn't open it. Neither would natural magics. Once a door closes, it stays that way. And time usually stands still, so why worry?"

"It won't work," says Cimorene glumly from her table, "If the door won't open, you probably just have to wait it out."

Arthur wipes his forehead, glaring at the door.

"You can never give up trying. Somethign has to work. Maybe spelling it open will be my way."

"How many door opening spells do you know?" she asks dubiously, "My friend and I tried a transportation spell, and that didn't work at all."

She grins and gestures to an empty chair at her table, "My name is Cimorene, by the way. Why don't you sit down and have a cup of tea. Getting yourself exhausted won't get you out of here, after all."

"Tea would be most excellent."

He takes a seat, still casting glares at the door.

"Some kind of spell has to work. There's gotta be... something. Some way to escape."

Oh, silly Arthur. There is. You just don't know it.
