There's a vampire on a couch over there. Not by the fire, but on that's a little more shadowed. And, like his icon, he's watching the bar from his lazy post.

He hasn't been in the bar very much, but he's in now. And, if he's staring at you, well there's usually a reason.

Am going to be off in - two seconds, but couldn't resist. Shall be on and off all day.

Perhaps he's staring at the slightly hungover vampire sleeping in a booth, unlike her icon, and occasionally twitching as a waitrat prods her leg with coffee.

Perhaps. Though, if he is staring at her, he's also wondering why she didn't drag herself to her room upstairs.

And, since he's staring at her, there's a soft prod of his mind to her's. Because with her sleeping yelling across the bar would just be rude. And, he refuses to get up. At least, until she's awake.

She wakes slowly, cracking her neck as she lifts her head to peer sleepily across the bar. Aubrey gets a tired wave, and she gets the coffee from her foot, downing a good half in one go.

Instead of a wave, he just appears across from her in her booth. There's a look of interest, and despite his lazy lounging in the seat a bright smile.

"Good morning, Sunshine."

She's used to stares, after all, she's on the ceiling today...but eventually such is bound to gather attention. So there s a red-head looking down at him from her spot on the ceiling, emerald eyes oddly intent.

Under his usual mask of blank, curiosity leaks through. He's never seen someone on the ceiling before. Really, it's just odd to him.

And because he doesn't feel like using vocal cords, there's a reach with his mind. 'How do you do that?'

Luckily, she's not at all startled by such speech, in fact, the returning words are clear and powreful, a telepath born, Rachel. ::I'm a teke. Good morning:: she chuckled warmly through his mind.

There's a small bow of his head, accompanied by a small smile. 'We don't have those in my world. And, good morning. Do you spend a lot of your time on the ceiling?'

[me_phistopheles]

Mephistopheles can smell a vampire a mile away but he is kind of intrigued with the thought of a vampire just laying around. "Most of them are chasing humans like prey back in my world." he thought walking towards the couch with a bottle of Jameson whiskey.

He also does not like the fact that this vampire is also better looking than him. "Most of them were ugly." He said sitting down in a chair next to the couch.

Mephisto looked down at the vampire. "Hello, my name is Mephistopheles."

And, because Aubrey's good at picking up thoughts, especially the ones that are about him, he's got an amused smirk on his features by the time Mephisto reaches him.

And, to entertain himself, there are two levels of conversation that he throws at the man.

'Can't hunt while in bar, and most of the vampires in my world are very lovely.' Is sent to Mephisto's mind.

"Hello, I'm Aubrey." There's a glance at the whiskey. "Don't need a glass with that bottle?"

"Shit. I forgot you guys can do that. I guess telepathy in vampires doesn't change in different worlds." Mephisto sent back with a sigh of annoyance.

"Why would you like to have a glass with me?" Mephisto said waving down a waitrat.

'Actually it does. There are several vampires in my world that have trouble with the more telepathic abilities. And I've meet a vampire that doesn't have any at all. Just depends on the flavor of vampire.' There's amusement through the words.

"I never turn down a free drink when it presents itself."

Not sure if he's staring at her but she has noticed him. Something about the lazy post that appeals to her. It's something she hasn't been able to do in some time.

With her charming smile she approaches and greets, "Hello"

He's staring at everyone in turn, so somewhere, sometime, before she approached, she had been stared at.

She gets a nod, and he's even polite enough to swing himself into a sitting position. In case she wants to sit down or something. "Good morning."

Amanda takes that as an invitation to sit so she does.

"I'm Amanda" she extends her hand to him.

He takes her hand and kisses the back of it. He's nothing, if not well raised ancient Roman.

"Aubrey. A pleasure, I'm sure."
