Anyone who's not her drunken ex-boyfriend want to explain to Hannah that this place is real?

*since she happened to be walking in the door anyway, Penny wanders over. She doesn't recognize the girl so she takes a wild guess that the girl is probably newer to the bar*

"Hello," says Hannah cautiously.

The other girl seems friendly enough.

You okay? You look a little dazed. That makes me wonder if you might be new around here.

"Only a little dazed?" says Hannah. "Then I'm looking better than I feel."

A half-smile.

"I thought I sort of dreamed this."

So there's a... girl? at one of the tables near Bar, people-watching. And it so happens Angel's got a good line of sight on the front door.
"You new?"

[argyle_princess]

She supports that question mark. She sure as hell can't tell.

"Looks that way," she says, shrugging. "Hannah Griffith."

"Angel. Nice to meet you. And welcome to Milliways, if you haven't already picked that up from someone."

[argyle_princess]

"Nice to meet you, too. And a couple of people have mentioned it, yeah. Still don't have any idea why I'm here."

There's a girl sitting in a booth not too far away. Maybe Hannah's age, maybe a few years older; with her round face and large dark eyes, it's hard to tell exactly. She'd never fit in at Neptune, though -- her hair is tangled and hasn't been trimmed in quite a while, her feet are bare, and she apparently follows the 'grab things from a thrift store bin' school of fashion.

River is, however, neither drunk nor Hannah's ex-boyfriend. Also, she's watching Hannah right now, although it's entirely possible that she's actually looking at something in the air in front of her instead.

Well, those are, as far as Hannah is concerned, two points in her favor.

Hannah turns, feeling that someone is watching her, and then relaxes a bit. The other girl doesn't look dangerous.

"Hey."

River's eyes shift just a bit too abruptly to focus on Hannah's face.

After a moment, she smiles a little. Probably in greeting.

Hannah is a little concerned.

"You okay?"
