From the shadows, a girl emerges.
Her head turns toward the vampire child, eyes taking in form, sketchpad, outfit. And other, less-visible things.

Her face brightens, and she starts forward.

Then, face darkening with confusion, she stops short, staring.

Claudia glances up at the girl, charcoal pausing over paper.

"you're..."

One hand lifts itself, reaching toward the child, then drops again.

"Claudia... but... not..."

Claudia blinks.

"I don't know you."
