Molly stopped into the bar. It had been a while, and coming here was a bit of surprise to her. The guy at the next table catches it epertly, without looking up from his scribblings. There are some rather odd books around him, and a big ole pile of dice. And is he drinking mountain dew?

"A good likeness."

He remarks, without opening it.

"The life of any Tim would cause a Sphinx to brain freeze. You should read the books sometime."

A smile.

"The Books of Magic?"

"I remember you mentioning them, yes. A long while ago. Still think it's creepy that events from our lives are in print like that."

[timsbooks]

A faint shrug.

"It explained a lot to me. And, I think I can fix things without going back."

Molly seemed surprised and relieved, "Really? ...oh thank God."

He smiles.

"It's perfect. You'll see."

"Ok, just be careful in any case," Molly said worriedly, still concerned, and not trusting that something bad wouldn't happen to him. She added, with maybe a hair of humor mixed with the concern, "You've done some pretty stupid things before."

Tim winces.

"Oy, yes. But this, this is smart!"

Except for the bit he doesn't realise, but the bad thing is, he doesn't realise it.
