She's here now, anyway, sitting in a corner booth and paging through a magazine that she's paged through several times already. Shannon is Bored, and it does require the capital letter.

Any sort of social interaction would be nice right about now.

Millitimed to before the lake conversation with Sands

Mal, walking, or more correctly, stumbling through Milliways, is tired.

And breathing is getting to be a pain.

So, it isn't her fault when she plops down across from Shannon and curses violently under her breath, rubbing a spot under her ribs, and apparently not noticing the other girl.

Shannon, on the other hand, does notice. Bit hard not to, with the swearing and such. The magazine goes down, and the eyebrows come up.

"What's your problem?"

It's a legitimate greeting. Really.

Shortly, not really wanting to talk about it.
