The door slides open, and a thin, petite woman in all black steps through, her hair pulled back severely, her hands shaking. It's been some years since Syal has come in the door, at least for her. It's the second time today Jaina's looked up from her seat at the Bar and spotted a Fel that wasn't her husband.

She smiles politely at Syal before turning back to her snack of blue milk and honey wafers.

Syal watches Jaina for a moment, remembering that she's married to her son...at least here.

At home, they're still too young. Just like her children are too young to be dying.

She sighs, shakily. This wasn't going to work.

"Is everything okay, Mrs. Fel?"

Even if Syal had told her to use her first name many times by now, Jaina still feels slightly uncomfortable doing so. Especially around a version not much older than herself.

"Syal." She says softly. "I just got done...burying two of my children."

Her heart seizes, and she smiles bravely. "I probably shouldn't even be here."
