When Riley wanders into the bar tonight, one of the first things he notices is the sign. And, hey! Free candy? Excellent! He snags one, unwraps it, and pops it in his mouth. He pulls a face after a second's chewing and pulls a soggy piece of paper out of his mouth. By the time he's read the message, the chocolate has already been swallowed.
"...What?" he mutters. Huh. What effects? He looks up -- and notices immediately that he can see the ribcage of a passing patron.
Riley blinks once. Twice. And then realizes that he has x-ray vision. "Holy shit." He grins and makes his way over to a table.
Well, there's a first time for everything, right? And free candy in a place like this has got to rate somewhere up there on the weird-o-meter. Especially on April Fools Day.
Which is exactly why Chloe takes a piece, holding it close to her eyes and examining it before opening the wraper. "Well, here's to living on the edge."
The candy goes in her mouth. It takes a moment for her to realize what just happened, long enough for Chloe to read over the paper. "Effects, huh?"
And then her hand goes up to her head, feeling oddly out of place cat ears sticking out of her hair. Huh. How about that.

She should really know better.
She should really, really know better.
She doesn't.
"Fuck."

And once he's eaten it, he spots the message.
And stares.
After several moments of hesitation, he pats the top of his head and discovers, to his horror, two long surprises for him there.
"...I hate this place."
