It's been on his mind all night. A party. It's the perfect time and place to throw one. Perfect reason too. It would seem that his wardrobe thinks so too, as a certain purple-and-teal sweater and corduroy pants were waiting for him this morning

Across the bar, a figure sitting on a table grins and raises a glass in salute, her eyes shimmering as she watches. There might be a wink as she sits there.

Mark grins at her, bowing in the middle of his song. Hey. give credit where credit's due.

She grins, and dances a quickstep across a few tables. Her eyes shimmer with laughter as she watches the party grow.

At some point, Mark comes over and dances with her, beaming. Hey, he can't help it.

Also, making much use of Mark's generosity with regards to food, cookies ... and ale and whiskey.

Drunk? Nah. Tipsy? Maybe a little.

Hey, being drunk's what it's all about at this kind of party. After all the singing's over... for now, Mark wanders over to Wes and grins. "Hey. Looks like someone's rather enjoying themselves."

"Apparently not enough to burst out into song," Wes says cheerfully, raising a glass of Whyren's to Mark.

"But yeah. The drink an' food? Appreciated. Lots. 's goin' on?"

Mark raises his own beer back to Wes with a grin. "Well, two things. First, a bit of a recreation of a party my friends and I had a couple years ago." He pauses. "And, well, the actual reason is that I got the holovid awards I was nominated for." He's beaming.

Angel's there, of course. And dressed for the occasion. And likely singing along (also not under the influence of Sweet).

At some point, Mark hauls Angel up onto the table with him. Hey, gotta go with tradition, you know. Especially in parties like this one.

Oh dear, another one.

Guppy smiles and raises his glass.

"Cheers Mark."

He has a fire extinguisher under the table, just in case.

Mark grins at him, and sometime after all of the singing's over with, wanders over. "Hey."

"Hey Mark. What's the occasion? Is it your birthday?"

He doesn't seem to be smoking or anything, so probably safe.

"Um. No, actually. I won a couple Oscars." More like five, but he's being a bit humble. "And, well, it's tradition among my friends to foot the bill for food and drink for a bunch of people when something awesome happens." He shrugs. "So, I guess it's just a party. In the tradition of the film that won awards." Damn, that feels odd to say.

Sara is under the influence of Sweet. And did get a copy of the documentary.
