"Augh," Steph says, and turns to glare. "What was that for?"

"Who said I needed a reason?" Ed asks, and offers her a very innocent grin.

"Me," Steph declares. "Every time you hit me, you have to have a reason. Can't you see I'm brooding? You shouldn't interrupt!"

When she figures out where he actually is, a hand shoots out to ruffle his hair. "You're a menace, Billy," she say affectionately. "What's up?"

he grins.

"You up to come along to the Rock tomorrow?"

His eyes twinkle.

"I've got it set up so you could come back the same day and all, Milliways time, and spend a few days there, if you like."

he smiles, a little shy suddenly.

"Really? Wow!" Steph beams. "I'd love to, Billy! When do we leave?"

"Something interesting in there?"

No sneaking up, this time. Just Dick, leaning over her shoulder, staring at the flames as well.

"Secrets of the universe," Steph says, and leans against him tiredly.

"You'll have to share a few of these secrets with me."

Dick pats her on the hair a bit.

"Secret one: being cursed really, really sucks," Steph offers, and shifts over to make room for him on the armrest of the chair. "Secret two: tea helps. I think it's a hangover from the Cave days. Alfred and his tea." She offers him an attempt at a smile.

"Tea helps, most things, I've found."

Of course he would, Hellspawn is British.

Steph isn't, but she did have the pleasure of being a Robin, and thus being served tea by Alfred on a regular basis. Bar's tea is almost good.

"'Course," she responds, shifting to look up, and making room for him on the squishy armchair. "Was that in any doubt?"

Which always is useful. British people rock. He does get next to her, cuddling up comfortably.

Funny. Does he seem warmer? Maybe, with a pulse?
