He looks at the door, considering going back out to join Claire and Bobby back at the abandoned base, but it's been weeks for him without seeing Charlie and without seeing Kevin

Kevin comes out of the infirmary at around that moment, and smiles on seeing him.

"Darien!"

He smiles, a little timidly, at seeing Kevin before walking up and pulling him into a tight hug. He's still a little shakey, still a little blown away... and he's hoping he can pull the old 'it's been weeks for me' schpiel.

"Kev."

Kevin blinks, a little surprised, but not unpleased, and hugs him back.

"Hey. Everything okay?"

I'm an idiot, is all. Apparently, I forgot that old 'a man who knows enough to know he knows nothing knows everything he need know' deal. Shit.

"Nothing," he says, pulling back. "It's just, uh... been a while. A few weeks. Sometimes when I can't get back for a while, I just kinda... start wondering if this whole place isn't some tripped out gland dream or something."

"Hi!" says Charlie innocently as if he's not hanging around Darien's neck.

"Hi," says Darien quietly as if he isn't pleased as punch to have a Charlie around his neck. Okay, he lied, because he's kissing the Charlie now.

"Missed you, baby."

"Missed you to." He leans his forehead against Darien's. "I hate it when you're not here." His kisses Darien's nose and adds, "It's terribly boring."

He smirks and tips his head back to kiss in return.

"Hey, how long have I been gone, huh?"
