Not seeing him, he settles by the Bar with a plate of breakfast.

Gray Jay doesn't seem to mind too much. He finishes his mouthful, meditatively, then says, "Come out, cousin. You can share."

He jumps down from the rafters and lands gracefully in a chair (don't you know spiders are aerodynamic? they never fall!), smiling appreciatively.
