Observant as he is, he notices the distressed woman.

"Something wrong?" he asks idly from his seat nearby.

Fred rewards the question with a wry half-smile.

"Wronger than the norm for this place, you mean?"

He grins and nods.

"Of course."

[cavemen_win]

"Hmm, I'll have to get back to you on that one." she replies, after a moment's thought.

"Currently I've got one missing boyfriend and one unpaid bar tab, but neither of those are very much out of the ordinary, so I guess it could be worse."

She knows all about the varying ways in which things could be worse.

"I'm Fred, by the way."
