Barry is just passing through the Bar, but he spots Mel, and realizes he hasn't told her yet. So he heads over, not even noticing the Tequila. (It's a bar - there's alcohol everywhere.)
And hangs there, evidently. After a few unsuccessful jerks and twitches, the bright red yo-yo swings idly over the pizza. "Well. That didn't work." Dear me. The rafters have developed a London accent.

Hey, 's her sister's birthday. She can be magnanimous.
Stop laughing.
"Hey, kiddo. Big day today, yeah?"
What is she hiding behind her back?

"Hey sis," Mel says, looking up and grinning. Although only after a pointed look at Erin's elbow as it disappears behind her back.
"Guess so, yeah."

"Guess so. Some days, Mel . . ."
She grins, swinging herself down into a seat, arm coming out from behind her back as she does so and plunking a cupcake on the table.
It has bright blue icing. And sprinkles. Also a candle.
"Happy birthday. Wait."
There are matches somewhere.
Maybe in her pockets?

"Nice," she remarks. "Love the sprinkles. Thanks."

"Hullo Mel. How goes?" Honestly. You'd think it'd be an in-bar priority to keep this girl from getting bored.
