Thankfully Aeryn isn't taking her anger out on stray trees today. Though the idea that this one is somewhat alive, gives her pause.

Zhaan was a plant, but that was different...this was just odd. Still, she's probably too busy sulking to care. And yes, it is that obvious.

Aeryn sighed again, letting her eyes drift shut. There was something about the damn tree that just made you relax.

"I'll introduce you sometime, you can convince him I'm worthwhile."

Just a hint of sarcasm.

Maybe I'd do better to convince you that he's not worth you being mopey.

Because nobody is. Bloody men.

Aeryn stood, dusting off her leathers.

"It doesn't matter anyway. You're just a tree."

She blinked, thinking.

"And I'm just a soldier."

And nothing ever changes.

She walked away.
