There is a somewhat melancholy traitor hanging about in the bar this morning. He's staring at the fire in a hypnotized sort of way.

It's probably a good idea to come distract him.

If you're his brother, even better.

"Gorlim?"

There is a Guppy, whose mun is supposed to be doing a pituitary gland essay but sort of isn't. Well is. But not all the time.

"Are you okay?"

Gorlim meeps in a startled manner and blinks at Guppy.

"Fine. I'll be... fine. Hullo. How are you?"

"Are you sure?" he asks, watching Gorlim.

"I'm getting better, taking things one step at a time. How are you doing?"

He shrugs.

He doesn't have a better answer, really.

Well, Catherine's not his brother. At least, the last time she checked.

But she can distract him?

"Gorlim?"

Gorlim looks at her. It seems to take him a moment to recognize her. He's that zoned out.

"Hullo, Catherine," he says finally with a forced smile. "Sit down?"

She does. "What's up?"

"Nothing much, love. Odd dreams, if you can call them dreams without sleeping. How are you?"

Sarah? Totally not his brother, totally not anyone's brother last I checked.

But distracting? Totally there. She pinged a crumpled crossword puzzle page at his head from where she was sitting and nibbling at her breakfast.

Gorlim... falls of his chair.

Jumpy little fellow, isn't he?

She shook her head at that, abandoning breakfast and crossword to pad over and help him up, "Didn't think I'd thrown it that hard."

A pause, "You doing alright?"

Gorlim slips lithely to his feet with an I meant to do that air.

"Fine, fine!" He grins at her. "Hullo, Sarah. Do you often assault people with paper missiles?" He doesn't seem at all upset about this. Entertained, though.

How about a late-coming Vala?

The Vala is also melancholy, and since they share the bond they do, he's certain the Man knows this as he sits down next to him quietly.

Late is fine. But the mun won't be back until late when she disappears.

Namo's mood might well be the reason he is so melancholy.

Gorlim looks at him and chirps worriedly.

And that is fine. Slowtime is always love between these two.

"Hello, little bird," he says with a faint smile.

"H'lo, heron," he says quietly, and takes his hand to kiss it. "Are you all right?"

Brother ahoy.

"Hey," he says listlessly.

Gorlim fights the urge to tackle him and burrow into his arms.

"Hullo," he listlesses back instead.

He leans wordlessly over the back of the chair.

Gorlim reaches out and rests his hand on Lee's shoulder. Just... keeps it there.

"What's up?" he asks, the tone implying distinctly what's wrong?
