Watcher in the bar, with tea and brekkers.
He's been around the library mostly, and one of those weird Millitime warps have been affecting his sense of timing.
So been a while, but here's a Giles.

(occ: ack, later than I thought. I'll be off and on around today [food, class, and the like], so slowtime to be expected, but will tag as much as I can ( Read more... )

Wells's finished his brekkers but he could do with some more tea. Pity he's lost track of where he was sitting before he got up to get some from the Bar, eh?

Indeed, but oh well.

Giles remarked, "Sorry, was this your table?"

"Don't think so," says Wells, "but I don't remember where mine is, either. Mind if I sit anyway?"

London accent, if a bit rough around the edges.

Giles had noticed, always gratified to meet a fellow countryman here.

"Not at all, go right ahead. Rupert Giles, a pleasure to meet you."

"Good morning, Rupert." It's Barry, in a good mood but looking serious.

Giles straightened up some, and waved him over, "Barry, hello. I think it's been a while, but I'm not sure. Is something wrong?"

"Not so much wrong as simply happening." Barry takes a seat. "I'm leaving here soon."

Giles remarked, "On holiday?"

He then frowned as he thought about it, "...No, longer than that, I take it?"

"Good morning comrade Giles."

Snowball puts a bowl of carrot sticks on the table.

"Would you like a carrot?"

Giles eyed the carrots some, "Why, yes, thank you, comrade Snowball. How have you been?" He took one of the carrot sticks and idly munched it.

"Okay thank you. My ears are all better and the leg I was shot in is doing well too. How are you?"

He munches a carrot stick.

"Well, that is reassuring I suppose." Giles blinked a little at that.

"Fine, other than I think I've been out of place time-wise around here. Disconcerting at times."

The watcher was being watched. She was silent, but she did indeed watch. Curious. Considering.

(mun grins, hehe, this should be fun)

Giles glanced up from his notes, and noticed that he was being watched. Hmmm...
He gave a nod of greeting.

Hobart nodded slowly, intentionally, in return, and lifted her tea to sip. For now, the tea looked of mint-flavoured dreams, innocent and calm.

But this one... this one was terribly interesting.

"Good afternoon."

Giles blinked in mild surprise, "Is it so late in day? Good afternoon then." He studied her some. Something more here, no, couldn't be. Then again, being trained in the unusual all your life, made anything seeming normal strange in comparison.

Coffee, coffee everywhere, and not a drop of tea.

While Jean consumes her share of the stuff, like any successful med school graduate will, the appearance of Logan in the bar's made her feel homesick for the rest of her strange family. Tea and Charles Xavier being inextricably linked, she's gotten herself a one-person pot of Earl Grey tea, hot, because the mun is a giant dork and is now in the market for a seat.

Giles, fellow tea-drinker with a vaguely familiar face, is determined to be good company.

"May I?" wonders Dr. Grey, leaning lightly on her cane to help balance the tea tray in her other hand.

Giles glanced up in some surprise, and noticed the cane and the tray.

"Of course, here, need some help?" He had swiftly stood up, and offered to assist with her burden.

"Oh, I can manage," Jean assures, just as swiftly. However, she allows him to take the tray while she arranges herself with as much grace as a leg in a cast will allow. "Thank you," she replies with a smile, and her hands lifted to take back the tray."

"It's reassuring to see that random courtesy is still around."

Giles smiled at that, and handed back the tray before sitting down again.

"Of course, I think it's more upsetting that it's no longer the fashion that it was."
