[OOM: Last night after his sparring with Mordred, Adam and Alanna
talk.]
*And thus it is with more than a few achy muscles that Adam enters the main bar this morning, and settles himself down for a rather large breakfast. He's hungry, but he wouldn't mind company.*

Because of the book, not because of him.
20th century history.
Lucy is not certain she gets "rock and roll".

The problem is that, not knowing how to use the new elevator, that leaves Karal's options as taking them anyway, or letting Altra Jump him downstairs.
And the problem with that is that Jumping has never actually been a pleasant experience, even if right now it's not horribly disrupted by the Storms (as, after all, there are no Mage Storms here), and so what Adam sees is a very large cat and a man who looks perhaps a few years younger than him, appearing out of nowhere; the man looks slightly green, and gropes for something with which to keep his balance, and finds the back of the chair next to Adam's. He sits down, quite abruptly.
"No, that's it, Altra," he says to the cat, "I'll take the stairs anyway."

He turns towards Adam, or at least in the general direction of him, addressing the air next to him at any rate. The cat, disinterested (although perhaps worth clarifying that when we say "cat" for size we may as well say "leopard"), washes a paw, sitting on the floor next to the boy's feet.
"I'm so sorry," he tells Adam's breakfast. "I didn't realize this table was taken. And Altra was just trying to help me with the stairs-- it's, his balance is so different from mine, is all."
